Born in 1976, Diego received an honor degree in industrial design at the Milan Polytechnic University's Faculty of Architecture. Since January 2001 he was been working for Luceplan as a designer collaborating with Alberto Meda and Paolo Rizzatto. He also has been involved in an experiemental lighting thesis prepared in collaboration with Luceplan Spa, 3M and Bomin Solar Research, a German research center devoted to alternative energy sources. LuceplanLuceplan was founded in 1978 by Italian architects Riccardo Sarfatti, Sandra Severi, and Paolo Rizzatto to custom design lighting fixtures for the commercial and industrial sectors in Europe. But with designs that also appealed to the residential market, Luceplan has created products with this market in mind since 1981.
