I had two goals when I bought this light: 1) to provide more light to read by over the kitchen table; and 2) to create a little island separating the table from the rest of the kitchen. Both goals have been met!

Really attractive, nicely designed light. Works really well over my dining room table. The black cords do have white printing on them. The shade is a very clean-looking fabric, with a minimum of slubs.
