Design by Alberto Meda and Paolo Rizzatto, 1989.
By Luceplan.

The Titania pendant light is a striking, and truly unique light. The elliptical structure of its outer casing, composed of blades, serves simultaneously as a non-dazzle screen, a reflector of the central light source and a heat dissipater. Five pairs of polycarbonate interchangeable filters determine the varying colors of its lamellar body. In fact Titania can be colored as desired, by a simple movement of the hand to slot the different filters in and out and to give the lamp a "dematerialised" color - while always maintaining an emission of white light! A touch of the fingers is enough to send it into a variety of suspended positions and, depending on which angle it is seen from, it assumes completely different appearances: transparent if seen from the front, and as a solid body if seen from the side. The spherical counterweight, allowing its up-down adjustment, can be inserted or removed at any time. Titania is a dynamic and surprising lamp, suitable for a wide variety of settings.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Striking Piece So impressed with the Titania, looks great off but especially on. Have the pair of red color filters in it currently and the red really lights up, much more so than in the pictures I've seen.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fun, futuristic light! Well made and quality light fixture -exactly what I was looking for. It is very bright and worked well for a high ceiling application I needed it for. I love the flexibility with the adjustments and even though it needed a little bit of electrician's setup time to figure out the exact angle, slope etc -it was worth it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Second Time Around This light hung in our home office for 12 years until the bulb socket burnt out. However, we liked it so much we bought the same fixture again. Very cool how you can change the colors by changing the plastic inserts. We like the purple and gold. Go Lakers!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from You wont be disappointed! This light is even more stunning in person. I have 2 in a hallway. I shortened the suspension slightly and love the look. These lights are well made, spectacularly designed and very configurable. I've never seen anything like them. I just bought a third for the bathroom!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A great modern fixture that looks good in any room. We have this light as a pendant over our kitchen table. It looks great as a modern touch to a remodeled mid-century home. The interchangeable coloured plates are fun and let you play around with moods for the seasons. I think this is a fantastic and affordable design addition to our home. I'm thinking of getting the Titania Queen in the future.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stunning As per other reviews, this was relatively easy to install, especially if you have installed other lighting in general. The trickiest part was to get the ball-weight the correct length so that there was enough play to adjust the pendant up/down/sideways. There was a little confusing detail in the description that says "minimum length of 40 inches" - that isn't true. I have mine much closer to the ceiling, and therefore had to adjust the length of the fishing wire they provide for the ball-weight (per above comment). Results are stunning. Really looks cool - like a modern/futuristic surfboard floating over our dining table!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from this lamp is sublime I've had my Titania for about 12 years. i'm always in awe of it. throughout the year i change the jells to reflect the holidays. with the dimmer and the ability to easily raise or lower the lamp i am able to create a quality of light to match my mood. this lamp is a classic. if i were Luceplan i would make available packets of colored filters containing new colors to expand the lamp's color possibilities...maybe pastels. get this lamp, you'll love it.

Looking for replacement bulbs for titania d17

Asked by: Karens
Hey there! This fixture uses one 250W 120V E26 (medium base) T10 frosted double envelope halogen lamp. We do not sell bulbs alone for any of our fixtures, so typically we refer our clients to bulb-only retailers like 1000bulbs.com, bulbs.com, or bulbman.com to order replacement bulbs. We ourselves refer to these sites all the time to compare bulb options. Please let us know if we can offer any additional clarification beyond this. Feel free to give us a call anytime at 866.842.6209 - we are happy to help! Stephanie, YLighting Team
