This is exactly the look I want for either side of my garage - a modern, up/down lit light with clean lines but it's too small, not enough light and I'd love to find it in a bigger size. Was easy to install and the perfect design for me.

The one drawback to the mini-box is that it has to be inserted into the wall. The electrician's desire was for this to be done during framing, not after finished wall had been completed. Wall center was not exactly where stud mounting could be installed easily.

There is a 'white' lining/filter inside the glass opening of this fixture, which disperse the light almost horizontally so the light does not extend far from the lamp itself.

We do like the polish metal look and feel but the low level of light illumination prevents me from using this fixture.

We installed this fixture on our back deck. I knew from the reviews that it was quite small and didn't give off blazing amounts of light. And this proved to be true once installed. In retrospect I might have purchased two to have a little more light, but the fixture itself is quite nice and gives off a warm glow up and down. It is truly an accent light though - if you are looking to illuminate a floor or wall area greater than 3'x3', you might want to find something else.

I bought this light because it was spec-ed by our architect for a retail building we are doing in New Jersey. The light was reasonably priced, especially for it's quality construction. When I read the cut sheet I was worried it was too small so I ordered just one. When I got the light it indeed was too small for our application. Would look great on a large residential type structure, just a little small for us. We ended up returning it. I would use LumenArt again though, they have great stuff expecially the Alume collection.

I can only blame myself since I had the measurements and could have done 3 templates to check the proportions.

We thought that they might be brighter but it is a small bulb so it limits the amount of light that the wall light gives.

The service at Ylighting was superb. Despite the added cost of sending to Canada (exchange + broker's rate), we will go Ylighting again for our next purchase

In looking for an up-down sconce to mount on the hemlock posts that grace the hallway of my loft apartment, I found the AWL.03 to be the perfect solution. The mounting options offered the ideal solution to situate them right into the wood beams, so their up-down light perfectly accents the texture of the wood and fill the floor and ceiling the right tone and shape. Even my electrician was impressed at how well they mounted and delivered just the right visual effect. The clean, modern look and stainless steel contrasts well against the old industrial materials of my loft.

Solid construction and has an optional backplate to cover up existing boxes. Has up and down lights that provide just the right amount of light. I searched and searched for a simple contemporary light that wasn't an outrageous amount of money. This light is perfect for what I was looking for!
