This illumination gives the word chandelier a brand new meaning. The fiber optic light source, hidden in the polished aluminum housing, makes the acrylic rods forming the modern corona very visible. The rods emit a unique combination of background light as well as spotlight. They spread the light through out the room and create a very special atmosphere. Perfect over the dinner table as well as in the hotel lounge.
The acrylic rods go through a heating process, before they are bent, to create tiny fractures or facets inside of the acrylic. These fractures further refract and an maximize the light intensity, creating the atmospheric light in addition to the soft spotlights.
Available in two sizes: Small- 22"D X 31.5"H. Medium- 29.1"D X 45"H.
Each pendant is shipped with 78" field-cuttable wire. Uses 1 X 45W 12V GU5.3 MR16 halogen lamp (included). Electronic transformer located in the canopy.

Absolutely Stunning!
We love this chandelier. Discreet during the day and stunning at night. It's placed over the dining table but it enhances the atmosphere in the entire living room. I think the "fractures" adds both to the design and the light experience. Without them there would only be a number of bright spotlights hitting surfaces in the room. We bought this a while ago and it's still a conversation piece at our get-togethers.

Not "kristall" clear
The fixture is very light and ephemeral if that's what you're going for. The "tiny fractures or facets" were more of a problem for me than I thought. Definitely go see the fixture before purchasing.

New Construction Housings
In contrast to remodeling housings, new construction housings are bulkier and need to be installed between joist beams or onto hangar bars and thus you need full access to the space above the fixture. This style is best used if you are building in a new space, gutting a room, or have an attic above or pop out ceiling, etc.
Non-IC Rated
Non-IC stands for: non insulation contact. Thus, non-IC-rated housings must be kept at least 3 inches away from any insulation.
IC Rated
IC stands for: insulation contact. Thus, IC-rated housings can come in direct contact with thermal insulation.
MR16 Halogen Bulb
MR 16 is a standard format for halogen multifaceted reflector light bulbs. MR16 lamps are regularly used in place of standard incandescent light bulbs as they harness and shoot light, resulting in less light loss than a traditional bulb. These are best used when you want focused light such as in a pendant over a countertop or an accent light on a painting.

If the lighting system is exposed to direct impact by water from splashing or dripping, which will make the fixture wet, then the location is a wet location. Your most common wet locations are uncovered outdoor areas.

Open Reflector
