Lzf LampsLzf Lamps, or Luzifer as they were originally called, is a small company making very special lights for very special people. Founded by Marivi Calvo and Sandro Tothill towards the end of 1994, this company has been producing handmade lights exclusively out of wood veneer right from the beginning. This noble material creates a spectacular lighting effect, projecting the internal beauty of the wood and radiating a delicate, warm and attractive atmosphere to both domestic and contract settings. Winner of two Good Design, two Design Plus and one Red Dot prize, Lzf has found its place amongst niche market suppliers worldwide. Customer ReviewsThey're perfect. I've admired the LZF lamps for years and am excited to have them in my home. They're elegant and a perfect complement to our family room. By: C.B., Homeowner (Oklahoma) Really? I selected Beech colour based on the image but it is much paler more like Flesh. The bulb is very difficult to find, and once installed because it is mounted almost on top of the lamp, it is much too visible. By: , (Montreal Canada) There's no wood in polywood The photograph of this lamp is gorgeous. The description said it was made from a "polywood veneer" and I was expecting some sort of lightweight wood product. I should have researched more what polywood actually is. What I received was a piece of flimsy, translucent plastic snapped together with a couple of rivets and screws. It comes nowhere close to justifying it's $500 price tag. Yes, the shape is beautiful. The materials fail. A friend asked if I bought it at Target. Ouch! In addition, you must use one of those fluorescent coiled energy-saving light bulbs, the size of which overwhelms the scale of the lamp and is too harsh for anyplace but a kitchen or laundry room. I am going to try to get it rewired with a incandescent bulb that can be put on a dimmer. So beware if you are considering this purchase. I was heartbroken.
