    Gea Floor Lamp is quickly spotted by the simplicity of its circular lines. It is one of the early lamps designed by Spanish artist Mariví Calvo for LZF Lamps and stands out for it’s quality and warmness of its light.

    Gea was Mother Earth in Greek mythology and the lamps that make up this collection are a tribute to its natural shape. Thanks to its pleasant appearance, the exact way in which it "levitates", and its different colours, Gea is the best ally both in home interiors as well as in populated places.

    Mariví Calvo (Valencia, 1960) graduated in History of the Art and in Fine Arts at Valencia University 1983. She continued her post graduate studies in Collagraphe in the Pratt Institute, New York and in Holography at the New York Museum of Holography. Marivi has exhibited her work in the U.S.A., Japan and Europe. In 1995 she established, with partner Sandro Tothill, Lzf Lamps (then called Luzifer Lamps), a small business whose primary aim was to develop and create ambient lighting, with her main focus on the investigation and use of new materials with light.

Founded by Marivi Calvo and Sandro Tothill towards the end of 1994, this company has been producing handmade lights exclusively out of wood veneer right from the beginning.
