wanted a classic globe for bathroom. after concidering different sizes( 8" 10" 12")decided 10" was perfect size. (actually hung different size japanese lanterns to try out) lots of sites carry globe lights, but i really like the cable and cord that the galaxy has. others just have a thick cord. the cable really gives the light an airyness or weightless apperance. much more of a modern flare. might be a little more money than other sites but i think the design is worth every penny. can tell glass is high quality by the light that it gives off. am very pleased with my choice.

I have looked at a lot of globe pendants and this one is really beautiful. The chrome features give this a really rich look. A bit tricky on the installation, but doable.

Great! It's a little smaller than I thought. I would go with the 12 in globe, unless your space is really teeny. This is a bit too little for an enty way. I should have measured the space first.

These are beautifully made lights. The chrome is highly polished, with no imperfections. Because of their size, they have a nice presence. I am a do it yourselfer, and have installed at least two-dozen lights and ceiling fans. These lights were particularly difficult to install because they use a European type of mounting system, did not come with mounting hardware, and no instructions. I had to contact the importer for instructions, and make my own mounting brackets because nobody carries the necessary type of mounting brackets. So beware.
