very sleek, clean fixture. The one down side is the very visible lever for removal but for all else very willing to live with it. installation required a little creativity.

the fixture is simple and provides good light. Because the kitchen has 2 fixtures requiring different sizes, this was a good choice because the Janeiro is available in several sizes. The only negative is the visibility of the levers.

Although one of the sockets was not working when we installed the light, it was very quickly replaced with an entire new fixture. It was easily installed, and looks great. We bought the option with the levers to remove the cover having read that it is so difficult to attach and remove the cover with the version using screws. While it is probably easier, the levers are visible - more so on one side than the other. For this reason I downgraded one star. Otherwise it is a very nice fixture for the price.

Difficult to install. Locking levers should have been painted white instead of metallic. They can be seen at the right angle. I bought 2 lamps and 1 may be defective. Not sure yet. I will let you know.

Great look. Love the simple, large design, high quality materials, and the high wattage. Also easy to remove cover to change bulbs. Only negative is that, from an angle, you can see the lever for removing the cover.

Well packaged so arrived intact even though there is a large breakable glass shade. Blends into the ceiling except the bracket frame can be seen from the side when standing below, including the two galvanized levers that secure the shade to the bracket. I had to cover them in white tape, which helped, but I still need to encircle the space between the ceiling and the bracket, about 1/4" that appears as a little shadow. Once that's done I'll be completely satisfied.

My older brother recommended this light and our architect heartily agreed with the choice. We're thrilled with the product and service from YLighting. We have the unit on a dimmer which works well for our kitchen. Great general lighting without any of the harshness associated with overhead lighting. The light just "disappears" on our white ceiling.

We use this light when we want an unobtrusive, simple functional light. It works well and does not pull the eye away from more decorative fixtures like a table chandelier.
