The Atila Table Lamp is a brilliant variation on the flexible industrial lamp. It can be supplied with a variety of accessories: A cast aluminum base providing perfect stability, a clamp which acts as a pincer, or a table bracket. The switch is incorporated into the top cover, making it easy to turn on. In addition, its compact shade creates a more solid unit and provides quality and modernity. Atila is an adaptable structure which facilitates all the mechanical movements necessary to meet specific lighting needs.

Joan Gaspar studied industrial design in the school of Artes y Oficios in Barcelona. In 1988 Gaspar started work for VAPOR S.A manufacturing minimalist lamps. From 1992 he collaborated with a variety of firms to create new product lines: Roca, Resol, Marset, Mobles 114, Perobell, Santa&Cole, DAE, Vilagrasa, and Made Design. From 1996 he collaborated closely with the company Marset IluminaciÃ³n, developing new products, and product direction for the company.
His work has been selected on a variety of occasions for the awards at FAD. In 1995 he received first prize in the Furniture Competition of the Comunidad Castilla la mancha, and in 2000 Gaspar won the first prize at the Valencia International Furniture Fair. In 2001 the designer was awarded with the Delta de Plata for the Atlas range of lamps, and in 2005 for the NeÃ³n de Luz, both designed for Marset IluminaciÃ³n. Since 1998 Joan Gaspar has given classes in Materials and technology applied to industrial design, at Elisava School of design in Barcelona. In 2002 he opened a professional design Studio in Barcelona working with various companies on new product concepts.
Through the application of technical precision and creativity, Marset aims to discover new functions to provide endless uses for their long lasting lamps. This constant quest for new directions, combined with their curiosity and ability to envision the shape of things to come, has led to the diverse array of pieces in their collection. By providing an authentic feel, meaningful simplicity, and the decorative factor integrated with a restrained approach, Marset is taking care of light.
