Design by Christophe Mathieu. The Maranga P 67 Inch Floor Lamp from Marset, inspired by fruit, reinterprets Scandinavian style through its shape. Its rational use of lighting generates a warm, comfortable atmosphere. The shade is comprised of 32 slice-like pieces which fit together and allow slivers of light to escape. This contrast of light and shadow generates an effect that prevents glare, while an opening at the bottom fitted with a diffuser provides direct, downward light. Its flattened shape combined with the modern materials used in its design make the Maranga visually lighter. Subsequently, he lived for three years in Milan, where he collaborated with: the architect Marco Zanuso Jr. in the development of products for companies such as De Padova, Menphis and Driade; the architects Roberto Menghi and Giulio Crespi; the industrial designer Sergio Coppola and the architect Antonio Zanuso in the prize-winning project for the Piazza della Republica. His time in Milan had a profound effect on him. In 1989, he decided to move to Barcelona where he collaborated with Alfredo Arribas, Eduard Samsó and Javier Mariscal.
