Born in Venice in 1971, Manuel Vivian began to design at a very young age. Thanks to his family business, he became particularly interested in blown glass. Vivian went on to earn a diploma from the Venice Art institute. Following the success of his first projects in glass, Manuel enlarged his range of interest to various other fields of interior design. Manuel Vivians work is created for the "Fly Design" studio which he owns and operates.
Manuel Vivian begins his designs by first observing the shapes and environment around him , using this inspiration to freehand design. Trying not to be overly influenced by trends, Vivian uses the marketplace as a stimulus to find other pathways. Manuel Vivian is attracted to natural materials but doesnt use them often, as they are difficult to manipulate around his freehand designs. "Being able to see things under a new light is one of a designer's greatest talents".See other lights/products from Manuel Vivian
Founded in 1981 by Paolo Masiero and Marilena Pellizzato, Masiero is a leader in the decorative lighting market. Tradition and innovation merge in Masiero's philosophy, creating artistic design. Masiero is exclusively made in Casale sul Sile, Italy.
Masiero represents an intriguing combination of tradition and modernity, letting the past and future coexist.Masiero has evolved over the years by using new materials, such as round wood, methacrylate and ceramics from Bassano. These materials have allowed Masiero to introduce innovative aesthetic codes with modern shapes, while also using simplicity to maintain their identity.
Masiero designs and creates lighting fixtures in their workshop in Italy, starting with the workings of glass and crystal glass. The result is a precious, decorative object that transmits a sensation of elegance and exclusivity. Masiero's craftsmanship makes one understand the great experience of a design that gives uniqueness to each item.
