The lamp is nice with a dimmer switch that allows for softer lighting. It makes a statement on the desk and is noticed immediately. The picture was true to how the table lamp looks in real life. We were happy with the finish and quality although we had not realised the lamp is acrylic not glass however you can't tell that by looking at it, it's only when you tap it or pick it up you realise. Is a beautiful lamp , very sleek and stylish. The dimmer switch is great; the different levels of light change the look of the lamp: on a dimmer setting the lamp takes on an bronze glow making the lamp suitable for transitional decor, on the brightest position the light is very white, silver and modern.

These lamps are very pretty. Small, they look great on my nightstands, on or off. I love the dimmer switch on the cord that makes it easy to turn the light on or off while lying in bed. My only disappointment is that they exhibit a low hum in a dim setting. Otherwise, lovely.

This is a very nice little lamp that is as good as it looks in the photos. I especially like the bright halogen light. Many lamps with regular incandescent bulbs don't put out enough llight but this one uses a strong halogen bulb. It's smaller than you might think in the photos so make sure to see the measurements. But you couldn't ask for a cleaner looking, bright light that looks great in all sorts of furnishings, for a fair price. The only quibble is that the on/off switch is positioned a little too far down on the cord so I have to use a twist/tie to bunch up some cord (I like the switch to lie on the nighstand so I can easily find it). I don't know why their designers don't think of that but it's a small quibble overall.

Love this lamp. Enjoy the built-in dimmer in the cord. Really looks great. The only downside is that the shade rests on the lamp itself during shipment, causing a few imperfections from the rubbing between the two parts. Shame, really, otherwise this would be 5 stars. Not YLighting's fault. Flos should rethink their packing methods.

Very attractive table fixture. Illumination is bright, but not diffused. The inner shade started to yellow then turned a baked brown color close to the lamp due to the heat emitted by the halogen lamp. Although not over used (20-24 hours/week), it stopped working, so we bought a replacement bulb which also did not work. Decided against repairing it due to the yellowing of the inner shade/diffuser.

I've had 2 of these for about 6 years. They're beautiful and provide exactly the type of lighting I need as a bedroom table light. The cons: One of them turned brown in the inner part, I guess from the light bulb. The other blew a fuse and it has been impossible to find a replacement. Something to consider.

Miss K is beautiful. It is not a cheap product to purchase (esp. considering that, simply put, Miss K is a plastic table lamp; but its solid construction, build quality, and attention to detail help justify its heftier price tag. It is a little bit of a splurge but I would happily purchase this item again.

My only point of contention is that the ylighting bulb that shipped with the lamp didn't work, but a local trip to the hardware store fixed that. Like a nice pair of shoes, the lamp also comes with a Flos dust bag which I have yet to find a use for...

The lamp is so nice we are ordering another one. It's sitting on our cherry night stand and looks great with the wood. The light does seem to escape through the top of the shade, but we like this effect since it warms up the room. I find there is still enough light to read by. The box was slightly damaged and the tape was split in the middle but the lamp was okay.

The appearance in person is very much like what is shown in the images. Dimensions are provided so I knew it would be on the small side. However, I was hoping that it would serve as a bedside reading light and it really doesn't provide enough light to read by. It throws off a tremendous amount of light but most of it shines upwards. It's a good looking and functional piece, just not ideal to read by.

This lamp arrived in a well packaged boxed, it included the light and it was easy to install.

The only thing I notice is that since the material is plastic and the silver effect is due to an inner coat of silver sometimes you can see some spots where the paint chipped. Its not that noticeable so I am not sending it back.

Other than that me and my husband loved them. We got 2 for each side of our bed.

The Miss K by Philippe Starck for FLOS is a beautiful lamp; however, even with 100 w light it doesn't give off enough light to read on a table next to the bed. I have two (one on each side of the bed) and they are great night lights and pretty to look at...but maybe not so practical. Also, I love the dimmer switch but wish the light on the switch would stay on when the light is off not on; that way I could find it in the dark!!! As mentioned, great to look at but drawbacks in the amount of light given off.

The lenticular lens acts like a polaroid filter - it keeps the direct light out of your eyes, glare off your monitors, and sends the light down onto the the work surface, and up into the ambient ceiling bounce. Great looking, modern design, small desktop footprint. in my taste, go with the halogen bulb, not incandescent.

I bought this lamp ~ 3 years ago and have very much enjoyed it. I love the look and the dimmer feature. Unfortunately, a fuse in the lamp blew a few months ago, and my husband has been leading a fruitless search for a replacement (replacement bulbs were challenging to find, but the fuse has proven impossible to date). He has tried four hardware stores and has messages in with ylighting.

Other than this issue, I would highly recommend the Miss K. It is too expensive, however, to last only 2 - 3 years.

I purchased this lamp as a gift for one of my family and not for my own use.

I thought the design would work well in this California home. It is being used in the front entrance hall on a long chest of drawers.
