I have installed many ceiling fans but this one tops them all. Installation was very easy and the fan quite solid when hung. The clearance is unbelievable. I gained a full 12 inches from the convention fan and light that it replaced. The most remarkable thing is that the wiring for the fan is a simple single pole wiring with just two wires to the fan but the fan has a built in remote control receiver that allows me to operate the fan and light independent from each other. I merely leave the light switch on and operate both via the included remote control. I'm planning to buy another one in the next few weeks.

This fan was probably the eaisest fan I have ever assembled. If this rating was based soley off assembly it would score perfect, but lets be honest, all that really matters is the performance. I had super high hopes that this fan would blow me away...with wind power...not the case. If I dont have a ceiling fan I have to sleep with a fan blowing on me at all times...(no I am not some overweight monster, I just like the breeze) The fan performs like a normal fan you would buy at sears/home depot or lowes. Nothing special, the remote is great and the polished metal is very clean and shiny, but again...all that truly matters I think is the performance which is subpar.

Originally drawn to this Minkaire fan because it was the only flush mount fan with an attractive light on the market, I purchased it for it's clean lines and its functional,attractive lighting.This is my fifth Minka fan purchase,all are maintenance free and running for years, circulating air in our bedrooms, office and family room.Every color,I've got them all still look brand new;the Mahogany and bronze modals look more like ceiling art than a fan.

Remotes work well, low or medium speeds are sufficient for PA humidity and to circulate heat in winter, and includes a dimmer to control lighting.

Time service for shipment was excellent- I live on the east coast and initially was concerned with shipment time, but got this within 3 days of order,and faster than a company in FL that advertised same day shipping could deliver the same fan to me . I'm one satisfied customer.

The product was easy to install. But for the breeze from the second speed, I would not know the fan is on at all; it is super quiet. Installed a dimmer switch with it and the whole installation was maybe an hour. I would recommend this fan highly; I will probably buy two more. The blades are plastic but you would never know it.

This fan is terrific for bedrooms with lower ceilings and/or a high bed. It runs smoothly, and sturdily mounts to the ceiling. My one complaint is a minor one, we purchased the brushed nickel version and the blades are a dark gray rather than a silver tone.

I purchased 4 fans for one big room - they work great - move a lot of air. Light quality is good. No wobbles. Its a little tricky with the fans close together - couldn't get the remotes to operate the fans independently.

I purchased this fan in brushed nickel about a month ago for an outdoor patio. Works very well. My only two comments are changing the frequency of the additional remote control was tricky. Given I already had another Minka fan in another room with the same frequency, the remote would control both fans. The receiver in the fan does not have switches to change the frequency, instead you have to manually unplug and plug the power while holding the new remote to it to learn a new frequency. I am told by Minka that the fan may forget its setting if the house ever loses power... I have not lost power yet, so I cannot say whether this is true or not.

Otherwise, this fan is extremely quiet and a beauty to look at.

my one complaint is geared towards the instructions. they don't go into nearly enough detail. i know most people on here said installation was very easy and i'm sure it is compared to other ceiling fans. but i found the instructions to be lacking in detail. didn't specify where to attach the receiver. it mattered. didn't explain to stick the sensor through the hole. i know there was a picture, but it wasn't clear at all. the fan itself is great. and with proper instructions, it would be easy to install.
