We planned to use the sloped adapter with the Altus Ceiling Fan. However, the satin nickel finish is not even close to being useable with the satin nickel finish on the fan. It will look like a two-tone. Instead, we had to build a wooden shim for the sloped ceiling so we could mount the fan with the standard mount.

The installation guy recommended getting a slope adapter and I'm glad I did. Otherwise the fan would have been tilted as my ceiling is has a steep slant.

The fan looks great and if you can see the adapter then I can't tell because it looks like it should be!

Tried to use these on a ceiling with a 6/12 pitch. They can only be mounted one way - with the mounting screws aligned with the pitch of the ceiling. In our case, the mounting screws in the ceiling were 'across' the pitch so we had to use the standard mounting bracket from the previous fan which worked fine. Couldn't return the brackets becasue we destroyed the packaging getting the brakets out of the boxes. So it goes.

I had an electrician install a Halo ceiling fan using this sloped ceiling adapter on a 45 degree angle ceiling. There's a gap at the ceiling all the way around the adapter and the electrician said there wasn't any adjustment that could be made to help that. Fortunately the ceiling fan itself is gorgeous, but the gap ruins an otherwise perfect installation.
