Original fan down rods sent receive a ZERO rating as they came bent and had to be replaced. They could have been packaged much better before they were sent. Really, the down rods just came in a long box with a bit of styrofoam wrap around them, and that was it. Likelihood the product would be damaged in transit is very high when packaged in this manner.

Original downrods get an F, not because they are not a good product, but because no care was applied in shipping them to the customer.

I purchased an additional downrod to extend the drop for my ceiling fan. Overall, I am very pleased - the downrod came with additional lengths of wire that I spliced to the existing wires to make connection to the ceiing power easier. The finish matched the ceiling fan. Install was very easy.

Seems to rotate slowly even on high. Contacted maker who provided RPMs, but no idea how measure. Also purchased a Ball Fan which I would recommend over this one. Finish is not particularly attractive - thought it would be stainless steel, but more painted grey than actual steel.

I have not actually installed this product yet, but I was thrilled to have the optional length rod. I do wish it was not an "option" thus costing me even more money, but it solved my problem of the shorter rod being too short and the longer rod being too long.

This is another great product. When we built our house two years ago we put in all lModern Fan Co fans except for one in the screened porch, a regret. Our Modern Fan fans not only look great (everyone who visits says) but they actually work to cool the room.

we desperately needed a fan to circulate warm air in this lodge-type setting, but were dead set against the bulk of many fans..the sleek, satin aluminum cylindrical body of the fan complements the 3 cirrus sconces we used to uplight the cathedral area,..the fan functions so quietly and is almost perfectly balanced even on the six-foot downrod. the installer reported it to be a beautiful quality piece and very well designed and built. the packaging, instructions, feel..all first-rate.
