FLOS

FLOS was founded in 1962. The very same year they began producing a number of lamps that were to become classics in Italian industrial design. These first lamps were Arco, Relemme, Toio and Taccia all designed by Achille and Piergiacomo Castiglioni. As a tangible proof of their timeless design and technical excellence, these lamps continue to be produced today.

From the very outset, FLOS has been characterized by its high-quality approach to lamp design and production. Many of the numerous lamps designed for the company, first by Achille and Piergiacomo, are undoubtedly some of the best-known and most successful products of industrial design. They have won awards and historical critical accolades, and are included in all the most important collections and design museums around the world.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Really like this product. It is very bright and adds architectural interest to our room. Ordered the one in brass and it glows with a warm colored light, because of the reflection off the brass. Love it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This chandelier is simply beautiful. Beautiful, classy and unique. I did not regret to start the decoration concept from this chandelier piece.I picked the wood flooring and the paint colors while waiting for the delivery. The result for the great room in rectangular shape was just as amazing as I imagine it. In fact, the whole idea was to purchase a second one ( the 30 light bulbs size) as soon as the first is paid.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gorgeous The perfect mid-century chandelier. I love this piece and would buy it again and again for my NYC apartment. It's impeccably made, easy to install, and isn't too large (I have the 30 bulb version) if you want to use it in a modest-sized room.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Wonderful Chandelier!! We purchased this chandelier in brass for over our eat-in kitchen table, but found that the chrome would go better with our Arne Jacobsen Series 7 chairs, so we bought that one also, and sent the brass over to Europe for our other home. It was just so beautiful that we couldn't part with it. The effect is extraordinary and the illumination is both bright and subtle.

Can this chandelier be mounted on a sloped ceiling (and is the height adjustable)? Also, where can I get the light bulbs for replacement? Thanks!

Asked by: Heron
Hi there, and thanks for your interest in this design. Yep this fixture can be installed on a sloped ceiling and the cording can be cut to suit your project and spacial constraints. Be sure to visit the "specifications" tab on this product page and download the PDF manufacturer instruction sheet by clicking on the provided link in order to access some visual aids and product diagrams that may be helpful as well. The 15W E14 clear ball incandescent lamps can easily be purchased online or even in a local home department store as well. Please let us know if we can offer any additional clarification beyond this - we are happy to help! Parin YLighting Customer Service

I would like to order the Mod 2097.  What factors do I use to decide if I should get the 30" or 50" diameter?  It is going in a dining room.  thank you

Asked by: keenam
Hi there, nice choice this chandelier is a customer favorite. In terms of ease of installation, both versions of this fixture will be identical in canopy size and junction box requirements. That said, just because the 50" is larger, it will not require special modification of your ceiling to accommodate the size. Other than that, it really depends on how much of a commanding impression you want the fixture to make in your dining area, and how much light you would like it to give off. The 50" will naturally produce more light than the smaller 30", so if the fixture is going to be standing on its own with no supplementary light sources around the room, that is something to take into consideration so that your diners have enough light. To discuss this fixture in greater depth, or to follow up with anything else, feel free to give us a call anytime at 866.842.6209 and we are more than happy to go over some options with you. What bulb does this use?

Asked by: Jeffo
Hi there! These use 15W E14 clear ball incandescent lamps. The fixture comes with the quantity needed for the fixture so you won't need to purchase those up front. Thanks for reaching out! Please let us know if we can offer further clarification! Stephanie, YLighting Customer Service - 866.428.9289

I like this fixture but I prefer it with the Thomas Edition Golden Bulbs.  I can only find these bulbs in 25 watt but this fixture says to use 15 watt bulbs.  Question:  Can the fixture handle 25 watt bulbs?

Asked by: Design Guy
Hi there! The maximum wattage and voltage should not ever be exceeded as it may blow out your circuits or even cause a fire. There are 15 Watt - T8 PYGMY - European Base bulbs that are clear with visible filaments! We do not sell bulbs alone for any of our fixtures, so typically we refer our clients to bulb-only retailers like 1000bulbs.com, bulbs.com, or bulbman.com to order replacement bulbs. We ourselves refer to these sites all the time to compare bulb options. Please let us know if we can offer any additional clarification beyond this - we are happy to help! What is the finish of the canopy? Is the same finish as the chandelier? In some pictures it seems black.
