Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very nice design The design is simple and clean. Very minimal as stated in other reviews. The lamp socket is white which is somewhat noticeable if you purchase the black model but would match the other color choices better. The socket is also not clearly shown in the photos but is smaller than what I expected and is round on the ones I ordered rather than rectangular as it appears in the one photo. This was better than I expected. The back of the lamp (bulb) is visible so depending on the bulb there may be some distraction from the light spilling out of the sides and back but the bulb choice makes a big difference here. There are MR-16 lamps that prevent any light spill that work perfectly with this fixture. Highly recommended.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great product but with one catch This is a fine product, I have about 20 of these lights through out my house. The work really well to light up a specific area of a room. I am glad to recommend them. One caveat, after using 20 of these for about 5 years, now I have had 3 burn-out. I suspect a little design change so that bulb does not sit directly below the transformer would increase the live span--heat is the enemy of all thing electrical. However, the failure rate is not unreasonable. I have brought replacements. This is only going to be a problem if the lights are at full brightness for a long time every day. The burnt out one are in the kitchen were lights burn brightly for many hours each day. Perhaps there is a model that might be better suited for constant use.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from nice, minimalist track lighting for a loft space. beware of rainbow halo effect. finding cool track lighting is difficult. most are super 80s in styling. we searched and searched around in bay area stores, but ended up online at YLighting, and really like the scale and materials of these. the price was also competitive/good. we are using them in a modern loft space, so they fit the right aesthetic. one minor complaint: the bulbs that come with them cast an infortunate rainbow shadow cast overhead. i am not sure if we can swap them out somehow, but it will be worth investigating.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Simple Design doesn't get simpler than this for a track lighting head. However, there are a couple issues you should know about. 1) Since there is no backing to the head, your MR16 bulb may reflect unwanted light back towards the ceiling. I am using 4700k bulbs, but the reflected light is 3200k, so this looks very unnatural. 2) These transformers have a 20w minimum, which means you can't use them for LED MR16s. (I wish the website would indicate this limitation).

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I like them I bought six of these fixtures to use in my kitchen. I have a mid-century home, and I was worried these would look too industrial but they don't. They look very discrete on the open beams of my ceiling. The WAC "white" is in fact a very off white, but I don't mind that--some of you might. I'm using a combination of floods and spots. I love ylighting and WAC track lighting, and will be buying more.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This model fit the bill for an affordable fixture that provided a clean & simple look. I was looking for a track light that would provide ample light for a living room with 14' ceilings. Was debating on the 75w upgrade but the representative assured me that the 50w would suffice for the space and she was right. Agree with other reviewers that these fixtures provided the minimalist and modern look I was going for so as not to detract from the room's timber ceilings.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from OK, but leaks light This is a good fixture for the money, but one thing I wasn't aware of is that it leaks money out the back end, due to the very simple housing (or lack of). If you don't mind that, it's great. If you do (our ceiling is not something I want to splash light on) it's a problem. So just be aware. Otherwise, it's well made.
