Design by Ron Rezek. The Gusto incorporates a series of stepped transitions from the top and bottom to it's widest band at the center. Symmetry, balance, and continuity come to mind when describing this design. As with most Rezek designs, the Gusto is an investigation into the relationship of simple geometries. The result is a fan that is interesting but not distracting, unique but familiar. Gusto is made of die-cast aluminum and offered in either a gloss white powder coat or bright nickel plated finish. The blades are a plywood laminate with a gloss white coating or metallic aluminum paint, choose 56" or 46" blade span (overall diameter). The optional light kit provides ambient lighting in your choice of halogen or compact fluorescent lamping. The fan speed and the light can be operated by one of several control options. Note: Any control ordered with a fan that has been configured with an energy-saving CFL will be supplied in a non-dimming version. Includes 4", and 14" downrods for 14" or 24" overall height. Optional downrods are available for alternate heights. The Gusto fan can accommodate a sloped ceiling up to 33°. For slopes over 33° but under 45°, use the sloped ceiling adaptor (sold separately).

It is the winter so I have only run it a few times to test it out, but it operates at a fairly low sound level with no shaking and moves a lot of air. My one gripe: the fan speed control starts with the fastest speed on the bottom and the slowest on the top. This is backwards to me! It really isn't a big deal, just a minor gripe. Our house is 70 years old and only one wire (hot) comes to the switch) so we installed the fan with the remote. It works great. The remote remembers the last setting (Light or fan and speed). So we can still use the wall switch. The remote sensor is pretty big and the pictures are not very clear how it is supposed to fit during installation.
