I paid an electrician to install it, but he did not complain about any difficulties. The light is bright, and the fan is beautiful. It is quiet and well-balanced. We chose the darker wood, which is not a deep ebony color, but is not a reddish cherry color either--it is in between a cherry color and a very dark ebony or mahogany color.

We've been looking for a fan to make a statement and complement the floors in the living room and loft. The Stella maple fan is a perfect complement to the light oak floors and trim. It hangs down 3 feet from a sloped roof in the living room about 7 ft from the loft centered between 4 recessed lights. With three speeds and a light, the remote works perfectly to provide cooling and ambient light.

This is a beautiful fan that functions very well. The "beehive" section is larger than it looks online, which makes it more of a statement piece rather than a fan that just blends in unnoticed. I love this ceiling fan! the wood rings give it a retro look i love. It works more as an accent light rather than lighting up a whole room because the rings direct the light downward. It would be nice if it came with a dimmer option. The medium speed is quite fast; it really cools off the room.

We selected this fan as part of our extensive remodel and LOVE IT! While it may have a contemporary look, our home is strictly traditional and goes perfect with our entire decor. We selected the Mahogany finish and it is absolutely beautiful! It is REAL WOOD, not veneer! Fan blades are light weight and didn't need to be balanced. We added option#3, the handheld remote control. It is an RF remote system(NOT Infra-red, line-of-sight) so it works two rooms away. Remote is packaged with an RF sensor installs in the ceiling base. The light bulb is very small but very powerful!

The Stella Ceiling fan is a bit more transitional than most of the products from this company. It was used in a contemporary setting where the introduction of wood tones was needed, but not in a traditional sense. This product fit the bill perfectly. Beautiful fan looks great in the main living room in our 40's bungalow with our mid century furniture. It is really a special fan. A bit pricey for a fan, but if you shop around, you won't find this one cheaper anywhere else. No shipping charge was nice too!

The design of this fan is GREAT! It's streamlined, unique and incorporates a light with a fan in a way that avoids any 'strobe' effect. Our only issue was that the maple appears to have been coated with a finish that left it lifeless. We are going back to the Altus aluminum instead. Too bad.

With not knowing much about Modern Fan Co -I was skeptical of the Stella fan at first. But i decided to order it an give it a try - to my surprise it was exceptionally nice. The build quality was top notch and the instructions actually made sense. It looks great and many have commented on how it is a unique fan. Needless to say i am happy with my purchase. The only negative thing is that the light is more for looks than actually lighting a room - but i don't mind because this was not intended to be my main light in the room...
