I am a fan of the Random light and also feel in love with the non-random light. Always an admirer of Dutch design. Simplicity combined with elegance give this light a powerful punch without over stating its presence. It throws cast of shadows around the room which ad to it allure.

We bought the large, white non-random to use as a ceiling light in a guest bedroom with 100 year old tin ceilings. It's a beautiful piece that captures your attention when you enter the room, but because of its translucent nature doesn't overwhelm or obstruct the view of the ceiling.

Absolutely beautiful light, the walls are transformed by the patterns the light makes when we turn it on at night. All the reviews I've read never mentioned the impact the light makes. I purchased the black but would love to possibly order the light in white as well. Pricey, but well worth it.

The non random has a simple form, but the texture of the surface is complex and rich, making a beautiful shadow. The light from the fixture is a nice glow. This fixture is a nice balance of once again, a simple form with a rich surface that overall makes for a unique fixture.

This "Non Random Light" really lives up to it's name. Our living room is quite small and we needed a light fixture that allowed you to see the fireplace mantel through it, but at the same time add some interest as well to the room. This light brought it all together and I would recommend it to anyone that is looking for that "little extra"

The pendant works perfectly over the dining table that is offset from the ceiling jbox. Since we were not able to relocate the jbox added a hook swaged the light to the center of the dining table- since the fixture is so light weight, it stays in place perfectly! And looks beautiful!

So, we bought this light and we love it - the big version - holds low levels of light in a beautiful way, open and glowing.

but buyer beware: the version that Moooi is selling is differently shaped than the one that Y-lighting and many other pervayors are advertising. seems that moooi distributed digital and photographic prototype images that were used at their Venice show. So what we received was shaped more like a symettrical tangerine than a "japanese tea whisk." its still beautiful, though its not what we ordered. Still, we're probably going to get another - they are very cool.
