Well on its way to becoming a classic. Random is formed from resin drained yarn that is randomly coiled around an inflatable mold, creating a magic translucent 3D fabric.
The body is a unified piece with a small opening at the top for access to the lamp. Chrome stem and socket cover. Random provides ambient, direct illumination.
Bertjan Pot was born 1975 in Nieuwleusen, the Netherlands (a small town in the east of the country). He now lives in Rotterdam working on various projects. Sometimes he initiates a project himself because he likes it so much that he feels that it just has to be made. Sometimes he is commissioned to do a project because other people like his work. Bertjan's main fascination is material and production processes.
In design, Bertjan flirts with computer esthetics and industrial production methods, but without using a computer (at least not as a design tool) and sometimes also without the industrial production method. Almost all designs come from experiments in materials, old and new. The way a product feels is just as important as the way it looks.
Moooi is an avant-garde Dutch design firm specializing in lighting, furniture and textiles. Its designs, in collaboration with renowned designers including Marcel Wanders, Ross Lovegrove and Jasper Morrison, are cutting edge, yet retain a playful character.
Its a beautiful piece. Actually nicer once hung. We saw this same light in a hotel restaraunt in Las Vegas and were impressed with it in that open larger space. It is equally as nice in our loft dining room. Added a dimmer so it can be adjusted for mood. Its an eye catcher for sure.

Delicate and Beautiful
I've wanted this light fixture for years and finally had the opportunity to install it in my apartment. We bought the smallest size. Its big enough to make a statement but also is delicate so its not overwhelming even in a small space. It also can hold up to a 100W bulb which we've installed with a dimmer. I love it!

The Random Light Small White Pendant is a minimalistic
beauty.

beautifull globe
That is the most beautifull globe you can find for $500. Despite the other reviews concerning a price, i feel that Random is a very well made light fixture. I suggest experimenting with a diffrent bulbs and dimmer ( i ended up using a 60W small halogen spot)

Great Light
Makes a statement as soon as you walk through the door. Very light and easy to hang. Shadows are great and it looks best with a dimmer switch. The light truly does appear to float. Very nice addition and worth the price. I had no problems with shipping. Item arrived fast and in perfect condition.

Great but...
This light is very original and this "floating light" is great, but it's definitly too much expensive for what is it (see the matters use for this lights)...
The biggest seize should be at the price of the medium, not more. Pity that money spoil this nice result...

The lights are way too expensive for what they are.
I didn't receive these in a timely manner. 2 Weeks!! You said 2-3 days they will ship. I got them too late for my job. They are a simple light but way too expensive!!! I don't think I will order from you again.

Random Light is a Show Stopper!
The lamp was delivered on a very sturdy box on a pallet and was in perfect condition when I opened the box. Installing it was quite simple (I had a handy man replace the standard dining room fixture with it -- took him no more than 10 mins).
Floating above my dining table, this lamp has become the center of attention for anyone that walks into my home. Only problem is, everyone feels like they need to touch it!! It is definitely a beautiful piece -- even though it's huge (I got the medium size, which barely fit through the door!), it looks like it belongs in the environment and doesn't take away from the rest of the pieces in the room. I love my Random light!

Our customer is very happy with this light and the unique design. The only concern we had was with the shipping. Product arrived in a carton that was very badly damaged and product could have been packaged better.

MR16 Halogen Bulb
MR 16 is a standard format for halogen multifaceted reflector light bulbs. Open Reflector
Reflector trims have a higly polished inner trim, which gives the most amount of light off of the light bulb. This trim is perfect for use in kitchens, offices and commercial buildings.
