Design by Arihiro Miyake, 2009.
Reality and people are known to be essentially simple but carry inside them different faces. Why not translate that feeling of complex simplicity to a lamp? Miyake is an ode to geometry and life.
The Miyake floor lamp can be placed in several positions simply by positioning the base on one of its 24 faces. The lamp's solid base and dainty stem create a charming contrast of weights and shapes.
Concrete base with aluminum stem and head. The Miyake head can rotate in all directions. Dimmer switch is located on the head, to operate push in and hold.
