Upon graduating, he moved to Finland to continue his Master's degree in furniture and spatial design from the University of Art and Design, Helsinki. During his studies in Finland Arihiro workes for the designers Illka Suppanen and Yrio Wiherheimo. After he graduated, he started his career as an interior designer developing restaurant concepts for a Japanese company. In 2004 Arihiro Miyake established his own design studio, Studio Arihiro Miyake and today the studio works widely in the field of design, from interior and product design to research projects. Currently Arihiro also works as a teacher at the University of Art and Design, Helsinki and as an Interior Architect for Japan Finland Design Association.
