After receiving his Bachelor's of Fine Art in Art at the University of Texas at Austin in 1993, Jeremy Pyles co-founded the company Andante, which was a graphics software and importer basted in Tokyo, Japan. After working there for two years, Jeremy went on to become the Senior Information Architect at NetObjects. In 2003 Jeremy created Niche Modern. Frustrated with the lighting options available for their Manhattan home-furnishings shop, Niche, they came together and created the hand-blown pendant “Stamen” in 2003. Their light fixture quickly became the store's most coveted item and in 2005 they debuted a line of 10 different lights, ranging in shapes from flattened spheres to bell jars. Customer ReviewsOverall I think the pendant is a beautiful light fixture. It is a beautiful fixture. The light is a bit bright to the eyes and dimming it is not helpful when you need the light. The only problem we have with it is the bulbs are a bit crooked in the socket and it doesn't look right, and one of the fixtures seems a bit crooked at the top.
