Customer ReviewsBare bulb florescent looks like something you'd hang in your garage for task lighting While this fixture looks great on the site, it does not give off the type of light it appears to in the photos. The bulb is a bare florescent (no light cover) and the light is very harsh and creates shadow in the room around it. If you like the look of movies like 'saw' then you'll like the light this gives off. The lamp itself has a simple but unique shape that looks gorgeous and perfect for our condo's modern aesthetics. It is very bright, so makes a great lamp for a kitchen island where you want good illumination of the surfaces. I would not use it for a setting that calls for more subtle mood lighting.
