Nicely built, unusual looking lamp.

I own many George Kovacs lamps because they are very well built and come at a bargain price. Designed by Karim Rashid for GK, this lamp has his signature futuristic look which I thought was very odd looking at first when browsing through the lamps on YLighting. Ended up getting one to place over my headboard.

It's much larger than I had imagined, and the glass shades look like large glowing cocoons or tulips. It gives off a very nice diffused light, and the lamp itself is a sculptural piece that will go along nicely with other contemporary furniture.

My main problems with the lamp:

-wish there was more intensity than 2x50W (the thick glass shades cut back the light)
-incandescent/energy saver bulbs would be a nicer option
-wish they built the on/off switch onto the lamp itself, it's very annoying reaching for the inline switch.
