I had been looking for a white floor lamp to use over my couch for reading. I wanted it to be well designed and unobtrusive. The requirements were that it not take up a lot of visual space and not be too big in size or proportion to fit over the large off white couch and light beige carpet. While you notice the lamp and how beautiful it is, it does not intrude on physical or visual space. The fact that it is adjustable made it work.

Like other Pablo products the LIM provides excellent design and value for the money. BUT, BUYER BEWARE! The photos of the LIM floor lamp do not represent reality. I ordered the "Brushed Silver" finish and the photo would lead one to believe that the post, base and arm are of the same finish. The post and base sent with the "Brushed Silver" arm are powder coated a darker gray which contrasts with the arm. Disappointed with the finish, I called Pablo in SF and was told that all LIMs have the same power coated gray base and post regardless of the finish (black, silver, or white) of the arm. It was not clear if this has always been the case.

It is otherwise a handsome minimalist design and much less costly than others I considered. However, if I had unpacked the lamp within the 15 day limit for returns I probably would have rejected the lamp. Unfortunately I was out of town and a month had passed before I saw the LIM.

I appreciate when a functional object is distilled down to very basic, efficient elements. The LIM Floor Lamp is a great addition to the home of a minimalist, or anyone who loves smart design.

The star missing in this review is a nod to presence of the light cord which runs exposed down the length of vertical stem of the lamp. I understand that for safety and flexibility why it would be exposed in this current design of the lamp, but maybe future editions could solve this very minor design flaw... Otherwise well worth the cost.

The lamp looks great. It's very simple to put together and light weight but looks substantial. The switch is very convenient. The only draw back is that you cannot angle the light.

Interesting use of LED technology however the design falls short in 2 regards: first, the magnet that secures the lamp head "L" to the upright shaft becomes an unexpected pivot if you attempt to move the arm to a better position. Should have had (2) magnetic strips to make more secure. Most basic flaw is the base should have been designed with a swivel so lamp can be placed NEXT to a chair when not in use then rotated over one's reading material for use. I'm going to have to modify mine for this. At $300 it would seem that this design should have been better thought out. There is no compromise for an incomplete design....

This sleek floor lamp looks nicer in real. Going to get the extension now, and also the same series with the table lamp. There are 2 settings for the floor lamp and both LED settings work well either way.

The lamp is everything I hoped for. It took only a second to learn how to turn it on. Surprising the sheet of instructions doesn't explain that.

I was surprised that the lamp head didn't have range of motion forward or back. Perhaps, I didn't read the description correctly. I will have to go back to that and see how the function was described. Fortunately for me, I used them in a place where I didn't need the head to move forward or back...

The directions for assembly, were a bit weak--took me a minute or so to figure out that there was only a magnet that held the lamp head to the base.

The light source is great, and it is a fabulous looking fixture!

Excited to get what we believed to be the perfect black lamp for a space in our living room, we opened it eagerly. Imagine our surprise when the bottom of the lamp turned out to be chrome, and the top black.

We immediately emailed YLighting, and were first informed that the lamp had been packaged wrong, and they would send a replacement. The next day we were informed that the lamp hadn't been packaged wrong.

Had we wanted a two tone lamp, this would have been a nice choice.

Good customer service; but sent the lamp back.

MY LIM TASK FLOOR LAMP IS PERFECT FOR MY NEEDS. IT IS MY READING LIGHT BESIDE MY CHAIR. I LIKE THE SPECTRUM OF LIGHT PROJECTED BY THE LED BULBS. IT LIGHTS ONLY A VERY SMALL AREA, WHEN ON THE BRIGHTEST SETTING. MY CHAIR IS IN A THREE SIDED GLASS ROOM. I WANTED A FLOOR LAMP THAT WAS MINIMAL IN SIZE WITH ADJUSTABLE HEIGHT. IT WONDERFULLY MET MY NEEDS.
