i am baffled by how it is always hard to find lighting that provides.....light. you see beautiful table and floor lamps and then in the fine print it says 60 watt minimum, etc...this light is great because it lights up a room and blends into existing decor. versatile and stylish.

The lamp provides a full range of illumination,seems weightless but is sturdy and looks like a piece of cubist sculpture.The photograph does not capture its beauty.

I got the black on black. It creates tremendous contrast, especially for darker, warmer rooms. I coupled it with dark stained cypress trim and a rich purple wall color in a parlor with a fireplace. Its wonderful because all the lamps in the room create cut light lines on the walls and the shadows are drowned out by the darkness of everything else. So again its just tremendous contrast.

The cord is a high quality fabric, the dimmer is also very high quality, though its clear plastic and I would prefer a black one. The only downside is the plexi just pulls dust out of the air, though they do provide a polishing cloth.

This piece is more solid and heavier than I thought! Comes with dimmer so it can be soft lighting for bright enough as a reading light. Perfect for the modern apt.
