Design by Zac Ridgely, 2010.
Made in Toronto by Ridgely Studio Works.

The Movimento Round Chandelier features hand cut art glass panels, delicately hung on braided stainless steel line. The illusion of floating glass gives Movimento a decidedly whimsical feel, perfect for modern foyers, kitchens, living rooms, and bedrooms. The light source can be mounted in the canopy of the fixture, or integrated into the hanging glass. Canopy is constructed of cold rolled steel, and offered in polished or brushed nickel metal finishes. Provides ambient and decorative illumination.

Shown with suspended light source and brushed nickel canopy.

Zac Ridgely

Zac Ridgely approaches all of his work with an artistic edge. The son of a famed Canadian architect, Ridgely grew up surrounded by creativity and quickly learned how to navigate his way through architectural drawings and job sites. He graduated from the Fine Arts program at Emily Carr in 1997, and began using his artistic talent to experiment with the medium of light. In 2000 he founded Ridgely Studio Works as a way to explore his passion for sculpture and light. The Studio rapidly became a favorite destination for local architects and designers who were looking for special and unique pieces that were able to make a statement while fitting perfectly into their surroundings.

The Studio has continued to grow steadily over the last 10 years, and now services international clients through their standard product line with custom capabilities. Ridgely himself maintains his deep-rooted passion for creating innovative new designs, and relishes the opportunity to produce custom one off artistic pieces.

Ridgely Studio Works

Ridgely Studio Works constantly pushes the boundaries of form by creating lighting that combines beauty, innovation, artistic sculpture and function. The unique designs incorporate materials that may not initially be associated with lighting, but result in dynamic and inspired fixtures with a sculptural edge. Crushed glass and onyx, mica and cut art glass, steel mesh, spun stainless and golden aluminum, are all given new life and perspective through Ridgely's designs.
