This pendant is gorgeous! It hangs in our breakfast nook and makes the room.Seems a bit pricey, but then you open the box and its so worth it.

<p>I purchased the polished nickel ceiling pendant and it is beautiful. I wanted a pendant to hang over our library desk and it needed to be modern, yet fit into a space that has an old-world, cigar lounge feeling. This bridged the gap perfectly. The metal shade keeps the light from being too bright, and the diffuser casts a warm glow on the table. It produces a bit of a spotlight-like highlight on the ceiling which works beautifully in a room where you do not want too much brightness. Great for the ambiance I wanted. My one concern was that the shipping box was completely trashed when the fixure arrived....it had large tears in the cardboard which was too thin. God must have been watching over the fixture, because somehow the metal shade was not scratched in transit. So, all was well.</p>
