Jonathan Adler

Jonathan Adler found his calling the day he tried pottery in summer camp. He begged his parents for a wheel and a kiln and subsequently spent his adolescence in the basement of his family's modern home throwing pots. He allegedly went to Brown to study semiotics and art history, but actually spent all his time at RISD making pots. He moves to New York and after trying the movie business for a few years he returns to his calling and sells his first and pivotal order to Barneys New York. Now Jonathan Adler's eponymous company has grown to become an internationally recognized lifestyle and home furnishings brand offering tabletop, bedding, bath accessories, furniture, rugs, pillows and lighting. Pairing modernist forms with bold colors and groovy graphics. The company's motto, "If your heirs won't fight over it, we won't make it", reflects Jonathan's commitment to impeccable craftsmanship and panache.

Jonathan Adler

A potter by trade, Jonathan Adler started his own line of pottery in 1994 after Barney's took an interest in his designs and placed an order. After three busy years of fulfilling orders, Jonathan Adler connected with Aid to Artisans, a program created to help artisans in developing countries make product for the American market. Jonathan Adler established his own workshop in Peru, increasing productivity without sacrificing quality and enabling the Jonathan Adler brand to grow. In 1998, the first Jonathan Adler store opened in the Soho neighborhood of New York City. Three years later, Jonathan Adler went bi-coastal and opened a shop in Los Angeles. The Jonathan Adler brand continued to expand, adding a line of furniture, bedding, towels, and stationary. Inspired by his love for color and keen eye for design, Jonathan Adler began taking on interior design projects in 2002. Some notable Jonathan Adler design projects include The Parker Palm Springs Hotel and a real life Malibu Dream House in honor of Barbie's 50th Anniversary. With fourteen stores across the United States, and a well-rounded collection of pottery, textiles, furniture, and unique home accessories, Jonathan Adler has become a well-known name in the design world.

Hello Gorgeous!

I was looking for a new lamp for my bedroom and happened across this one via google. I love Jonathan Adler's pieces, but all his lamps offered on his site weren't to my liking. when I saw this stunning lamp and the great sale price Croft+Little offered (I also received an bit extra off for subscribing to their newsletter, plus FREE SHIPPING) it was like they were practically giving it away and I couldn't resist. The lamp is on the smallish side, but fits perfect on a dresser or nightstand. Loved finding this website and the service has been great. everything arrived in great condition (even a light bulb) and within 4 weeks.

Lovely small lamp- a little smaller than I expected but really nice overall shape and shine

The lamp is small and actually has a square shape vs a circle, which is what I originally thought. However, it really is a lovely shape and has a nice looking shade. The shade that was originally sent was quite beat up, but with one phone call they agreed to send me a new shade free of charge, which was great.
