This light was easy to install and is a great alternative for a regular Sputnik. Keep in mind to use 25 watt bulbs vs. the max 40 or just ad a dimmer.

I ordered the Sputnik for use as a ceiling-mounted light in a guest room. Although the chandelier version of the fixture had my heart, the height of the ceiling-mounted light better fit my needs (there's a canopy bed in the room that would have fought with a chandelier).
Note: The bulbs that the fixture calls for (40w clear globes) make for a very bright output - I took the advice of the lighting expert at my local lamp repair shop (Royal Touch in Dallas - amazing service!) and switched out the 40w bulbs for the 7w super-cool bulbs that the (original) Sputnik historically 'wore.' It now looks amazing, and no more cornea-burning glare! : ) I also have the fixture on a dimmer, which adds so much flexibility. Friends LOVE this light - some say it looks like a flower; others, a star. Either way, I'm dee-lighted! : )

I recently purchased the Adler "Sputnik" chandelier from Ylighting with excellent results. First, the chandelier's beauty and quality far exceeds its cost. Second, Ylighting's processing and delivery were well above standards. The light arrived timely and the delivery packaging equalled valuable art delivery standards - and at free delivery!

This fixture is hanging in my den and it looks great. I recommend clear bulbs and nothing more than 25W--there are 12 bulbs so it is pretty bright. I am putting it on a dimmer.
I was hesitant to buy this light as I had not seen it in person nor had I seen it used as a flush mount on the ceiling. It looks spectacular and was very easy to install.
