After graduating from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena in 1993, he relocated to Milano, Italy where he joined Sottsass Associati working closely with Ettore Sottsass. While in Italy he freelanced with Luca Trazzi, Prospero Rasulo, Johanna Grawunder, Luca Scachetti, Ital Form & Mattel Italia. In 1996 he returned to Los Angeles where he collaborated with a variety of companies on numerous projects. He worked at Rezek-Artemide lighting for almost seven years. During that time, he was the designated Senior V.P. of Design & Product Development. Peclar went back and taught a few classes at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California including, Lighting Design, Environmental Design and Furniture Design. He now owns his own design studio where his lighting designs add a uniquely modern feel to any location, residential or commercial. Only complaint is that a standard bulb shows above the glass rim of the diffuser; thus, it requires a shorter bulb so as not to distract from the clean design.
