In assembly, one of the lamps broke (the stem came off of the base), but I was able to figure out how to re-assemble it on my own. The one drawback in my mind, is that I thought from the design that the arm of the lamp would swivel for ease of reading in bed. The arm takes MUCH effort to swivel, making it not a practical feature.
