Bought 2 of these in another color a year back or so and was very happy with quality. Bought a third for the bedroom this year and finding that it does not swivel smoothly, requires that I not tighten the screws down, leaving it a little wobbly, to make it easier to change position both of the head and the post.

These are beautiful and blend well in both rooms I have them in, the satin nickel is nicely finished.

Lamp seems sturdy and offers a great amount of focused light for reading. Easy to turn on and off. My only gripe is that it took over 2 months to arrive. I kept getting emails that it was delayed.

The lamp is exactly what it seems on the product page. According to some of the other reviews, it has a tendency to get hot. I haven't run into that problem yet. It's a great basic reading lamp at a great price.

I have purchased two of these for my home and another for my 90 year old mother who is an avid reader. The two levels of lighting make it useful for reading in low light or after dark. Its styling is unobtrusive and attractive. My taste is traditional and it fits well with my furniture in spite of its contemporary design. The only negative quality, and it is not a major problem, is that I would not have it in a location where young children sit unsupervised as it does get hot to the touch and, when positioned low, is within the reach of the person sitting in the chair.

I was looking for a reading lamp and one that could also be used for sheet music at the piano. I'm not sure it is tall enough to illuminate the music. However, it is a great reading lamp. Steady, with a heavy base, and has the contemporary lines I was looking for. Easy to switch between the two light intensities. Attractive without being overwhelming. Easy to assemble; my son actually assembled it for me.

The lamp was easy to put together. You can make it short or taller and it gives off a nice light with 2 settings for high or low. Nice finish and great for smaller spaces. Will probably buy another for the house.

The Tenda Pharmacy Floor lamp is a classic. I love its simple, streamlined silhouette, and the variety of finishes it comes in. It easily fit in to any scheme or style - which is probably why I suggest it in almost every home design we do! Definitely a favorite on this end.

I was looking for a couch-side lamp, and loved this idea of a modernized pharmacy lamp. I bought the Tenda Lamp and overall, I'm very happy with it. It's very good looking, with clean lines. The two things I do wish were a little different: I wish the lamp could be extended to be a bit taller and I wish that the lamp didn't get so hot from the light it emits. None of these things deterred me from keeping this lamp, and I'd definitely recommend this product. It's just that if you're looking for anything other than a couch-side or table-side lamp, this won't be tall enough. And even though the metal of the lamp gets hot near the On/OFF switch, it's not so hot it's dangerous by any means. Also, the light is bright, and the lamp has two settings, but this lamp is more of a small area lamp and will not illuminate a large space; it's more of a secondary light source.

This is a fine reading lamp on the "high" setting; on the "low," it offers some soft ambient light. It can be made short enough that it doesn't block any view in the room, and it has a stylish, clean lines, yet has also a simple, "quiet" appearance that doesn't call attention to itself. This fine modern reading lamp-- the light is excellent-- is stylish yet simple and unobtrusive. It is easy to lower its height to a position close to the arm of a chair or sofa, and because the pole of the lamp is set off to one side of the base, the base can be tucked out of the way under furniture. The simple design and soft brushed finish also add to the lamp's quiet appearance. Overall, this lamp has a very low visual "footprint"-- just what we wanted to keep the room's furnishings uncluttered and its focus on the view out of the windows.
