Since the glass is translucent and warm colored (amber), combined with a dimmer switch, we have a lot of control over the ambiance. Changing from recessed ceiling down lights to pendants was a dramatic improvement, really helping to visualy define the dining area and separate it from the rest of or modern, open floor- plan house.
