Good looking light. I wanted to get the LED version, but the difference in cost was too much. This one had I minor color variation in the translucent coating on the glass, but it is virtually impossible to see from a distance.

I was a little skeptical of this light fixture because the photos didn't do it justice. In the images it didn't look well built. I am very picky about the quality and was quite pleased when it arrived. It's being used outside to light the front landing and it gives out a nice glow. I bought the fluorescent 9" fixtures.

Like many reviewers have said, this is not ideal for task lighting or direct lighting, but good to provide some general space lighting. I do wish it came in 3000K color temperature.

The fixture is installed in the laundry room. Unlike the normally used industrial looking fluorescent lights, this type is more elegant and provides adequate but "soft" output. Was the right choice for me.

The fixtures are very simple yet modern and elegant in their design. The glass is very heavy and overall feels like a quality product. Even though they are advertised as entry way/hallway type lights, we hung 4 in our small kitchen with a low ceiling. The compact size was perfect, however the light was borderline too soft for the kitchen. We thought that might be an issue so we planned ahead and wired for a 5th large Boxie in the center and will be adding it soon.

This light is very sleek and elegant. I was hoping to use two of them as dimmable ceiling lights in my kitchen remodel. This won't happen. It is not bright enough. I will instead use it to replace one of my (many) circa 1960s ceiling fixtures. Possibly in the upstairs hall.

It's hard to find clean, simple, modern lights that don't cost a fortune. Like many things in design it seems that 'the less there is' the higher the price. Not so in the case of the Boxie. This was not my first purchase of this light. I now have a total of 3 throughout my home. The quality is excellent, the design is clean and simple. The smooth surface of the blown glass shade reflects light and shapes like water. I just love it. The only downside to this lighting fixture is that they do not make it in a larger size, 12-15 inches perhaps.
