Design by Bruno Rainaldi. This lamp has become iconic not only in terms of Terzani as a company, but as a fixture for the early part of the century. The Magdalena is available in tin plated or white finished metal. Can be shortened in the field. Notes: ETL Listed. Starting in the distribution department with Maddalena de Padova in the distribution department and later became partner with Enrico Baleri for "Baleri & Associati" , a communication and commercial strategies firm which operates in the contemporary design field. He then founded and became art director of the design firm "Rari" and started to collaborate with different companies including Alivar, for which he created the "brillant furniture" collection, Blum, MDF, Mussi and Sintesi. In 2002 he founded "Moco extra ordinary furniture" and designed "ptolomeo", a totemic vertical bookshelf that won the price "Compasso d’Oro" in 2004. During the same year he opened, with Marta Giardini, "Entratalibera", a contemporary art and design space in the center of Milan. TerzaniTerzani began as a creative design and production laboratory for lighting objects, with roots in the noble craft traditions of wrought iron, carved wood, and Murano glass. In 1985, Sergio Terzani met Jean-Francois Crochet, an experienced Parisian designer. Together, they updated the craft culture, presenting it from a contemporary design angle. The end result has been "Luce Pensata": lamps and objects as lighting sculptures, no longer accessories or cold technical supports, but the animated, vital protagonists of living areas, with a completely original and identifiable character. Customer ReviewsNot As Described I purchased this fixture for a client recently, in the 'tin plated' finish. The fixture arrived in raw form from the factory, sticky and oily, with discoloration from the heat of the plasma cutter. It clearly had not been plated - it hadn't even been prepped for plating, they simply skipped the finishing step altogether. The factory claimed that the fixture had been packed too soon and needed time to "cure". Although I sent pictures, per their request, they never owned up to the fact that they had sent the fixture in an incompleted state. With Ylighting's help, I was able to return the fixture for a refund. The customer service at Ylighting is excellent, although I can't say the same for all of the vendors they represent.
