The Titania pendant light designed by Paolo Rizzatto and Alberto Media is a striking, and truly unique light. The elliptical structure of its outer casing, composed of blades, serves simultaneously as a non-dazzle screen, a reflector of the central light source and a heat dissipater. Five pairs of polycarbonate interchangeable filters determine the varying colours of its lamellar body. In fact Titania can be colored as desired, by a simple movement of the hand to slot the different filters in and out and to give the lamp a "dematerialised" color - while always maintaining an emission of white light! A touch of the fingers is enough to send it into a variety of suspended positions and, depending on which angle it is seen from, it assumes completely different appearances: transparent if seen from the front, and as a solid body if seen from the side. The spherical counterweight, allowing its up-down adjustment, can be inserted or removed at any time. Titania is a dynamic and surprising lamp, suitable for a wide variety of settings.

Uses 1 x 250 watt T10 halogen frosted med. base double envelope bulb. (Bulb not included)

    Excellent beautiful lamp

This lamp was very easy to install. Looks amazing and I was thinking that probably will not supply enough light but it’s perfect.

    Nice clean design

Relatively easy installation. Kids like the interchangeable color shades. Only wish that the bulb could be higher wattage to give more light.

    Conversation piece

Lamp arrived very well packed. The lamp itself is extremely light in weight, appears somewhat fragile. Directions were clear and the lamp does offer several ways of installing, i.e. ceiling or wall. Does not bring the bulb and it is a specialty one, so make sure you order the bulb along with the lamp. It looks better installed than up close. A great conversation piece, everyone has a comment about it. It does a good job of illuminating the area. Thin/light pieces of aluminum make up this lamp, handle with care since it appears fragile and easy to bend/distort the pieces. I am very pleased with it, although unless you paid less than retail price you may feel you overpaid but than again you are buying a conversation piece much more than just a lamp.

    Amazing!

I spent quite a lot of time looking for the perfect lighting fixture, some were cool but very expensive, the Titania have it all, it's affordable, you can hang it off center, you can change the color, you can tilt it, move it up and down, it really is versatile, so if you are the kind of person that likes to change and move things around the house, this is for you.

    We like it a lot!

P.S. Make sure you get the light bulb that it needs, 250W, I got mine also on line and they arrived pretty much at the same time!!

All I can say is WOW

I saw this Item while surfing this website. I bookmarked it and eventually purchased it. It arrived on time and the packaging was excellent. The instructions were clear and I had it up in about 10 minutes. The only draw back is that it requires a special halogen bulb that few stores carry. There should have been a prompt at the checkout for lightbulbs. I finally got the light bulbthree days later - I reccomend the full 250Watt bulb for full effect. All I can say is WOW. It is a show piece that will get lots of positive comments.

    Remodel Housings

In contrast to new construction housings, remodeling housings are appropriate when you have limited or no access to the space above a new fixture, such as in an apartment or a home without crawl spaces or attics above.

    New Construction Housings

In contrast to remodeling housings, new construction housings are bulkier and need to be installed between joist beams or onto hangar bars and thus you need full access to the space above the fixture. This style is best used if you are building in a new space, gutting a room, or have an attic above or pop out ceiling, etc.

    Non-IC Rated

    IC Rated

IC stands for: insulation contact. Thus, IC-rated housings can come in direct contact with thermal insulation.

    MR16 Halogen Bulb

MR 16 is a standard format for halogen multifaceted reflector light bulbs. MR16 lamps are regularly used in place of standard incandescent light bulbs as they harness and shoot light, resulting in less light loss than a traditional bulb. These are best used when you want focused light such as in a pendant over a countertop or an accent light on a painting.
