The design is beautiful, especially in a group of the other beat lights but beware that the light is only designed to light up the interior of the light itself, not the rest of the room. As long as you don't need to light a room, or even an accent table, these look very nice hanging from your ceiling. If you want to save money, don't even bother wiring them.

Always been a fan of Tom Dixon designs. These lamps are modern, well made, and very inspired. I used them in a 'hand built' type residence where attention to artisan detailing made all the difference. The hand hammered brass interior lends texture and contrast to the smooth matte black finished exterior of the lamp.

I am always a firm believer in design value and "design for all." It is unfortunate that these gems are so pricey. This is the only downside in my opinion.

this fixture is great because it's very durable and sturdy. the shape and design and materials are so simple but the fixture has just enough edge to make it a definite statement piece. we used these in multiples which looks great, but they also look just as good by themselves. since the underside is brass it gives a glow to the light. the shape of this dixon pendant, along with the other shapes from this line, will no doubt stand the test of time and be just as relevant in 50 years as they are now....great design, great fixture.

After drooling over this lamp for a while I finally jumped in and bought it. It was shipped very quickly and I was super pleased when I opened it. Just as beautiful as it looks online. It hasn't been hung yet (that's why I can't give it 5 stars until I check out the quality of light) but it will be soon! I can't wait to see it in action.

Well packaged and very well thought out in design. Easy to Assemble as all the mounting hardare was included. The light put out by the lamp is a lovely golden color and really brings out the the softness of wood (tables, floors, etc), keep in mind though that the max bulb is a 25 watt so this really is only mood lighting and not really usable for work (reading, desk, etc). Originally thought I would put this on a dimmer but there is not really anywhere to go from the on positon except off.

Husband and I had been drooling over this fixture for some time. Finally pulled the trigger and made it a Christmas present to each other. It is installed over our dining room table now, and we love it. The contrast of the black matte exterior with the hammered brass interior is gorgeous. My one disappointment is with the amount of light the one small halogen bulb puts out-- it's very low lighting. Much lower than our previous fixture. We may have to add another one to supplement. I recommend this fixture if using it as an accent light, but as a primary source of illumination you may be left wanting.

As said, like the light immensely but was slightly disappointed b/c it arrived w/ part of the cord slightly damaged. Went ahead and installed and attempted to fix the problem on our own. Otherwise Y Lighting was incredibly helpful and prompt w/ service etc..
