That’s the gist of Ron Henderson’s story. An aerospace engineering student by day and a DJ by night, Ron graduated from Auburn before spending time in the Air Force and at Boeing. A chance airport encounter led him to lighting, where he worked for multiple companies before founding Varaluz in 2006. Varaluz was born of the belief that lighting should be both interesting and sustainable. Varaluz hand-crafts fixtures the old fashioned way out of eco-responsible materials. The picture is accurate and it looks good installed. It gives off good light. You need to be a bit careful installing it as you have to screw bolts/holders against the glass panel to hold it in place. You wouldn't want to overtighten - snug is enough. It was easy to install, overall.
