Alberto Lievore

Born into a family of Italian immigrants in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1948, from a young age he was sensitive to design, inventing various objects and toys for himself. After completing a scientific technical education in chemistry, Lievore went on to work for an oil company. He later completed his military service and sought to further his love for design, so he began architecture at the Buenos Aires Faculty of Architecture. In 1977, he officially settled in Barcelona where he founded a studio in the Berenguer el Gran Square with colleague Norberto Chaves, and afterwards Daniel Perrando, Oriol Pibernat, and Jorge Pensi. Later, in 1984, he started his very own Alberto Lievore & Associates firm, which allowed him to learn and grow more as a designer. In 1991, he changed the name of his firm to Lievore Altherr Molina, as other designers Jeanette Altherr and Manel Molina joined the lineup. He still continues his incredible work with his firm, attaining worldwide acceptance and notability with his partners for their bold furniture designs.

I purchased 4 Tulip Wall Lights for use in hallways/landings. The quality is excellent and I love the way they look-simple but elegant.

Clean simple lines with perfect detail and finish.

Beautiful frosted glass shades compliment the rest of the natural high quality materials in the master bath. Perfect lights for illuminating the user on either sides of the mirrors.

Disappointed. . . would be great except. . .

Bought a couple years ago. A nice, simple fixture, but we were very disappointed with the canopy design/construction and how it mounts to the wall bracket. It does not "lock in" tight and is easily moved when bumped for cleaning, etc. Also note the 4" width of the backplate barely covers octagon / larger junction boxes, which means the backplate also barely covers the joint of the wall finish (such as tile) around the junction box.
