Atelier Oi

Atelier Oï, established in 1991 in La Neuveville, Switzerland, by the creative trio of Aurel Aebi, Armand Louis and Patrick Reymond, derives its name from the Russian word "troïka," symbolizing the dynamism and holistic energy generated by a trio. With over three decades of collaboration, these designers share a deep bond rooted in their individual paths and a shared vision of growth. Drawing inspiration from architecture, design, naval construction and encounters with influential figures such as Alberto Sartoris and Ettore Sottsass, Atelier Oï's philosophy transcends traditional disciplinary boundaries. The studio, located at the crossroads of cultures, produces work that ranges from architecture and interior design to product design and scenography, celebrating diversity and fusion in its projects. Atelier Oï's creations embody a "po-ethic" vision of creativity, fostering a harmonious connection between individuals and elements, nature, materials and emotions. Their multidisciplinary approach, experimentation with materials and dedication to unity through diversity have earned them numerous awards and accolades, including the Prix Européen du Musée du Conseil de l’Europe for the Archaeological Museum Laténium in Neuchâtel, the IF Design Award for the Tour d’Oï shelf, the Design Plus award for the Uniq lamp and the Living at Home Award for the Allegro collection, among many others. Their headquarters, the Moïtel, not only serves as a workspace but also as a laboratory for experimentation.
