The Bell Jar Table Lamp from SkLO is a minimal, handcrafted composition designed by Karen Gilbert and Paul Pavlak. Illustrating the designers’ signature use of traditional Czech glasswork paired with a restrained and simple design, this piece features a transparent bell-shaped shade skillfully crafted from handblown glass. Its one-of-a-kind shade rests directly on a surface, tapering as it rises to a cylindrical brass cap dropping its light source into the center of the glass.
Developed in collaboration between Pavel Hanousek and husband and wife duo Karen Gilbert and Paul Pavlak, the glassblowing company SkLO was founded in the Czech Republic. SkLO, the Czech word for glass, draws inspiration from clean architectural lines and simple forms, Their unique pendants and chandeliers are crafted by glass masters in the Czech Republic and fuse the age-old tradition with modern functionality.
