Panton Chair from Vitra

Design by Verner Panton, 1959. Because of technical progress in plastics processing, the Panton Chair has been through a number of production phases since its original launch. The last version of the chair authorized by Verner Panton was produced in collaboration with the designer at the end of the 1990s. This model realized one of Panton’s fundamental objectives for the first time: a plastic chair as an inexpensive industrial product. Suitable for indoor/outdoor use.

Eames Molded Fiberglass Armchair from Herman Miller

Design by Charles & Ray Eames, 1950. Reissued in 2014. More than 60 years after its first debut, the Molded Fiberglass Armchair with Dowel Base has returned with a new, more eco-friendly presence produced in a new material, from a proprietary process that works for the planet while honoring the legacy of the original Eames’ designs. The Armchair with Dowel Base is offered in a new fiberglass finish featuring the same surface striation that has attracted avid vintage collectors for decades.
