Spotlight on VIBIA Wireflow Collection + December’s Giveaway
The Wireflow Collection from VIBIA combines sculptural elements within a minimalistic form. The results are an elegant collection of linear, illusory forms. To celebrate our December giveaway of a Wireflow 3D Square Pendant Light from VIBIA, we’ve gathered the entire Wireflow Collection to share.
The Wireflow Collection was designed by Arik Levy. Originating from Israel, Levy moved to Europe where he graduated from the Art Center Europe with a degree in industrial design. Levy currently works in his studio in Paris. Multi‐talented, Arik Levy is not only a designer, but also an artist, photographer, and producer. Much of his work is hanging in prestigious galleries and museums around the world. While Levy is best nown publicly for his sculptures – such as his signature Rock pieces -, as well as his installations, limited editions, and design, he has a vision that “The world is about people, not objects.” Perhaps it is this philosophy that his Wireflow Collection springs from.
Reinterpreting the Classic Chandelier
Each light in the collection has the same geometric perspective. These lights don’t take away from their environments, but rather contribute to them. Their minimal appearance and illusion like design give way to effortless style. Its bold geometric form reinterprets the idea of the classic chandelier.
Minimalistic, Linear Composition
Structurally, each light in the Wireflow Collection features black electrical wire, lacquer steel rods, and LED modules too. This linear composition provides visual continuity of lines as well as light. All in all, this provides a tangible character to its minimalist design concept.
Each chandelier or pendant is fitted with LED modules, which provide both direct and also ambient illumination. On the ends of the module are a decorative pressed glass diffuser. The glass helps to diffuse light, as well as giving the chandelier an elegant look.
While the Wireflow Free-Form Pendant Light has many of the same characteristics as the rest of the collection, it stands apart in its customization. Though it’s design is customizable, the Wireflow free-form pendant does look best in a group. Stronger together, multiple free-form pendants create illusory geometric formations as well as aesthetic compositions. But best of all, these pendants are available in a plug-in model. Thus, creating your own Free-Form display is easy to do.
For the month of December, we’re giving away a Wireflow 3D Square Pendant Light from VIBIA. One lucky winner will be receiving their very own Free-Form Pendant. Click here for more information and find out how you can enter for your chance to win. December 31st is the last day to enter.
