Vibia has long been known for its eclectic, modern lighting—designs that don’t just illuminate a space, but often contribute to a unique overall aesthetic and function that range from sleek and simple to daring and different.
Meet the latest from the Barcelona-based lighting leader: Halo. Designer Martín Azúa created the Halo collection to be fluid, lightweight silhouettes that provide subtle—almost magical—illumination to an interior space. The shapes are abstract and bodiless, thanks to LED technology that allows for a lightweight design. Because the lamps can be suspended at any height or even at an incline, the user has creative freedom to use them to create a floating, harmonious ceiling light design. The end result is numerous design possibilities, each of which appears to float in midair.
Combining technology, art, design and life into one collection, Halo produces a subtle light that mixes naturally with the atmosphere. Its translucent material—available in both circular and linear forms—acts as a shade to avoid glare, which also enables the light to be placed in any space at any height.
Each pendant or cluster provides a high lumen output that can be regulated depending on the mood or time of day. The design of Halo enables ambient light that illuminates the space but also becomes a decorative component that is both simple and striking. With Halo, lighting becomes an integral part of architecture.
The design also won Interior Design’s Best of Year Award for Architectural Lighting in 2015.
