The Bub Mini Pendant from Blu Dot produces a refined aesthetic to accentuate the optics of its blown glass forms and the resonance of its light. The piece offers versatility, mounting to the ceiling in a low-profile canopy that invites a placement as a single or as a series. Its slender cord brings a visually light quality that helps to move moves the eyes down gracefully. At the base, a tubular lamp holder produces an aesthetically pleasing shape that delivers great contrast to the glass elements. Pierced by the holder, a rounded cylindrical blown glass shade takes in the ambiance and colors of the room across its reflective surface. This shade juxtaposes elegantly with the opaque and spherical blown glass diffuser inside. Blu Dot is a creative and driven company founded by three friends in 1997 in Minneapolis. Right after college, the three friends, Maurice Blanks, John Christakos, and Charlie Lazor were looking to furnish their homes with modern furniture, however, everything they liked was out of their price range, and everything that did fit in their budget they didn't like. From this dilemma Blu Dot was born. With the simple goal of bringing good design to as many people as possible, Blu Dot creates original and beautiful designs that are useful, affordable, and desirable.
