The Drape Composition 2 Pendant Light by SkLO brings a beautiful display of handblown Czech glass shades into spaces. Each one is a different shape and size and showcases a double-dipped, fire-polished mouth where they have been broken away from the glassblower’s pipe as they were created. Designed by duo Paul Pavlak and Karen Gilbert, this composition captures their desire to honor traditional craftmanship and the simple expression of honest materials. Suspended from a single canopy, each glass diffuser is held up by a fabric wrapped cord, and two are paired with brass rings that allow them to be set from hooks for an engaging, artful lighting arrangement.
Developed in collaboration between Pavel Hanousek and husband and wife duo Karen Gilbert and Paul Pavlak, the glassblowing company SkLO was founded in the Czech Republic. SkLO, the Czech word for glass, draws inspiration from clean architectural lines and simple forms, Their unique pendants and chandeliers are crafted by glass masters in the Czech Republic and fuse the age-old tradition with modern functionality.
